The Rialto has long been a place where people gather. From its early life as a peanut stand and post office to its transformation into a theater in 1924, the Rialto has played many roles in downtown Bozeman’s story. Over the years, the theatre hosted everything from silent films to indie screenings and live performances, adapting to the changing rhythms of the city. After closing in 2005, the building sat quiet for more than a decade before reopening in 2018, carefully restored and once again ready to welcome people back.

Today, in partnership with Tinworks Art, the Rialto is entering a new chapter. It’s being shaped as a year-round cultural space—one that supports art exhibitions, artist talks, residencies, performances, and community gatherings. The space is also available for mission-aligned events and rentals, offering a welcoming, flexible setting in the heart of downtown Bozeman. As always, the Rialto remains a place where creativity, conversation, and community come together.

The Rialto is available for private rentals, including performances, receptions, nonprofit events, and more.

Attended the short film screening tonight, saw a flyer around town and decided to check it out. Very cool venue and this event was free. Would have been nice to have some complimentary water or paid beverage options (I entered through the main Street entrance) and didn't see a bar or any food/drink options. The venue was clean. Sound system was great. Atmosphere was excellent.

Great set by Eddie Ifft, good ticket price, great venue. Minus 1 star for the seating. (Not 3 Hour chairs) but I get it. Add the star back for having Cold Smoke beer on tap.

We had the Rehearsal Dinner here. It was magnificent. The acoustics were great, you could have conversations and hear people. The wood tables are so "Bozeman". And the staff was so attentive to the temperature, food, everything! Rialto Bozeman, you guys hit a home run!

I really enjoyed the sound and the use of the space. I've been going to this building since it was a movie theater. There's an eclectic selection of events here, we enjoy the DJ nights.
