"Our whole family, including our adult children and grandchildren recently shared a week of vacation at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch. It was the first time our family had ever been to a dude ranch and we had an amazing week! The owners of the ranch and their staff are extremely hospitable and accommodating and they do a wonderful job planning and overseeing activities for all age groups. Our youngest grandchildren participated in the daycare program, while the older grandchildren really enjoyed the "Rough Riders" horseback riding program. Knowing that their children were involved in their own activities and taken care of, allowed our adult children to relax and enjoy themselves with horseback riding, fishing and hiking on their own. They all commented that it was the most relaxing vacation that they had ever shared with their kids and even our grandchildren are asking when they can return! "Our extended family with 10 grandkids, ages 2 - 9 yo had a truly fabulous and memorable time. Each family had their own comfortable cabin. The kids 6 and up had their own beloved horse for the week. The little ones were cared for by wonderful staff. Adults had cocktail hour while the kids played and had dinner. The Kelseys are incredible - helpful, personable and kind. The entire staff was smiling and happy. Beautiful scenery, excellent horses and wranglers, delicious family style food, plenty of fly fishing. The other guests were interesting and friendly. "Nine Quarter Circle is a magic place. It is 3rd generation family run and the Kelsey’s and staff excel at making you feel “like family”. The setting on the Taylor Fork River- 5 miles up its drainage- is remote and breathtaking. The food is served family style and is quite yummy. The cabins are comfortable but small enough to encourage you to sit on your porch, or in 3 other spacious common areas where you will interact with other guests. The horses are largely home bred Appaloosas who are sure footed and responsive. And you will likely jot down the exact same ride during the week. For those with kids, the babysitter (5 and under) and kiddie wrangler (6-10) allow parents some autonomy during the day and at lunch and dinner while the kids have a great time experiencing freedom on the ranch playground or riding a horse."

The Nine Quarter Circle's roots stretch back to the late 1800s.
The establishment of Yellowstone National Park in 1872 drew homesteaders to the area soon after.
By 1912, several homesteads consolidated into the Nine Quarter Circle Ranch.
The working horse ranch has passed through three generations of Kelseys and still utilizes rustic buildings constructed in the 1920s by former owners.
