Our place is your place! Located on the revitalized, historic east end of Bozeman's Main Street, our 8000 sq. ft. building has seen a century of action. Originally a warehouse owned by the railroad, we thought this cool and funky old building had so much character it should live on as our dream - a bar, restaurant, local hang out for the whole community.

So we took it over and turned it into, what is in our opinion, the best bar and eatery around. So swing in, grab a beer, a bite to eat and tell us how we're doing. Our extensive menu of thoughtfully-crafted, artfully-plated upscale comfort food is all Montana - uncommon yet approachable, inventive yet simple, substantial, gutsy and prepared from scratch with creativity, energy, and the freshest ingredients.Experience our impressive selection of distinctive appetizers, salads, pasta, fish, steaks, beef and bison burgers, homemade soups and desserts.

Try our buffalo potstickers, grilled mahi fish tacos, spinach pecan salad, signature pepper-parmesan fries, barbeque ribs or gorgonzola pasta.Plus, every night our chef creates an array of sensational specials at an affordable price. You'll be surprised and satiated and are sure to walk out our doors feeling better than when you walked in!Visit our website to sample our menu and gather more information.

Amazing food and great service! This restaurant is an incredible representation of Western cuisine. Everything we had was fantastic…we just regret not being able to hold dessert. Bison potstickers were amazing, the meatloaf and veggies were about the best I’ve ever had, and the burger was great too.

Stopped in after a long day at touring Yellowstone in a snow coach. And let me tell you what a nice surprise. First we got the French onion soup which was different than the many times I’ve had this in my life. Super delicious and unique. Then I had the northwest pacific wings with Asian sesame sauce. Really good and it was a very nice portion. Can’t wait to come back again.

What a fantastic place for good food! The Monarch Elk Burger was phenomenal. Their fries and bison potstickers are really great too. I enjoyed the Huckleberry Cider on draft.

We were in Bozeman just for the night and decided to try Montana Ale Works after seeing the reviews and also having it recommended by our hotel. I was floored when we walked in; the place is huge and really well designed with a great vibe. As for the beer, I only tried one of the IPAs (the lower ABV, Patio Pounder) and really enjoyed it. I’m guessing the rest and some of their more notable IPAs are equally as good, if not better. For dinner, we tried the bison potstickers to start, and the bison patty and steak tri-tip for our mains. The mains were quite good and the potstickers were ok as well. I just thought there was too much sauce poured over them. If I was to order again, I would ask for the sauces on the side as an option for dipping instead. But overall, it’s easy to see why this place is such a popular spot in Bozeman, and I would definitely return if I’m ever back in town.
