Our family recently had the pleasure of celebrating our daughter’s graduation from Montana State University at the beautiful Gallatin River Lodge, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This lodge came highly recommended by my brother, who hosted his wife’s 50th birthday celebration here, and it exceeded every expectation. We rented four of the hotel rooms, which made the entire stay feel like a private family retreat. The rooms were comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly suited for a multi-day family gathering. What made the experience so special was the time spent simply being together. Evenings were capped off with cigars around the outdoor fire, drinks from the bar in hand, and great conversations under Montana’s big sky. During the day, we enjoyed the peaceful setting, fishing, and just relaxing on the property—it was the perfect balance of celebration and downtime. The atmosphere at Gallatin River Lodge is warm, welcoming, and effortlessly Montana. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and everything felt easy and natural, allowing us to focus on celebrating a major milestone as a family. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion—or simply want an exceptional Montana getaway—I can’t recommend Gallatin River Lodge highly enough. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our daughter’s achievement, and we will absolutely return.

Serene get away ..This is my go to place when I need to reset yet minutes from town! They are so helpful and welcoming. We even got to be the first to the tranquil sauna with incredible meadow views ! What a nice touch ( gym opening soon) beds are super comfy and the chefs breakfast basket was ample and delicous! Oh and they have a fabulous espresso machine in room ! Restaurant was closed but they let us know ahead of time so we were prepared! Luv this lodge! Thank you Gallatin crew! Will be back

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay here. The room was comfortable and we slept really well, which is saying something at our age. Our little dog loved laying on the huge green lawn - so much so, we had some trouble convincing her to come inside. The staff and other guests were all very friendly and helpful. The food and service at the restaurant was wonderful as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lodge - quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay at Gallatin River Lodge. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The surroundings are calm and quiet. The staff provided amazing service and made us very comfortable. This is not a large, noisy place. It is intimate, and the experience is fabulous!

GUEST ROOMS

Each season at the lodge, just like our accommodations, offers its own story. In the spring, the pasture turns green, the trout pond fills, and the herons come. The wild landscape blooms as spring turns to summer, including our herb and flower gardens. Throwing a line is as easy as stepping out your front door, and the big blue sky expands your imagination. Fall brings the most refreshing crisp mountain air and colorful pops before we fade into peaceful winter white.

Our accommodations include Main Lodge Suites, Trout Lodge Rooms, and the Trout Lodge Suite.

Main Lodge Suites

The Main Lodge is at the center of it all, radiating a warm feeling of relaxation. It’s a coming home and coming together with family, new friends, and learning the best of the best about Montana from the locals.

The suites are filled with natural light and extensive views, wood floors, luxe amenities down to the smallest details, including beautiful art and fresh flowers, all while staying authentic Montana. Soak in the jacuzzi bathtub and finish your day writing tomorrow’s story in front of the gas fireplace.

Trout Lodge Rooms

The Trout Lodge is located right next door to the Main Lodge. The four main level rooms offer beautiful views of the property with outdoor seating to take in the sunsets. Each room has a cozy king bed, large walk-in shower, Wi-Fi, television, radiant heat, private entrance, and all of these accommodations are pet-friendly.

Trout Lodge Suite

Located on the second floor of our Trout Lodge building, this suite has two queen-sized bedrooms with private baths and a shared common living room. Amenities include a wet bar, mission-style couch, and a beautiful balcony overlooking our trout pond and property.

This is the heart of the lodge, relaxed, vibrant, and intimate featuring floor-to-ceiling views of the trout pond, open pasture, wildlife, and epic sunsets under the big Montana sky. Savor elevated and creative Montana classics focusing on quality local ingredients. We take pride in our handpicked selection of world-class wines and local microbrews. You will be surprised how simple can be so exquisite.
